The CPC Working Committee at SIP’s Loufeng Sub-district signed agreements with 108 enterprises and social organizations on July 28 to launch long-term cooperation in running a public-benefit program which contains a set of in-home elderly care services aimed at improving local elderlies’ sense of happiness.
The sub-district opened the “Kitchen for Seniors” in January to provide subsidized nutritious meals to local seniors, and later launched healthcare, emergency, cleaning assistance and psychological guidance services successively for the elderly.
Under the cooperation, the parties involved will jointly invest RMB 2.23 million this year and more in the future to set up a “capital pool” to support the program. The local CPC working committee has authorized SIP Charity Federation to manage the fund, and adopted a guidance and put together a supervision committee for the management and use of the fund.
